BREAKING BREAD CAFE
Breaking Bread Café is in our Lakeland community to serve those who are hungry. We offer a nutritious hot dinner in a friendly sit down atmosphere. At Breaking Bread Café you will be met with kindness, compassion and dignity.
Food is given to 75 or more families three days a week. Those in need are allowed food once each month. There have been over 5,400 people who have been helped spiritually through receiving Jesus Christ as their Savior through Compassion House.
CIRCLE OF FRIENDS
The Circle of Friends Ministry reaches out with the love of Christ to children with special needs and their families by: Providing childcare workers who serve on a one-to-one basis as a “buddy” or a “shadow” for children with special needs during Sunday School, Children’s Worship, and AWANA. Providing a place where parents feel free to share their challenges and their victories, for affirmation, encouragement, and prayer.
We believe the church should be a hospital for the hurting. Our free Support Groups offer the programs and steps to begin that healing process. Support groups are open to Church at the Mall members and non-church members. If you know of someone who could benefit from these groups, please give them a flyer and let them know we are a church that wants to help them.
We welcome children and adults who are deaf and their families to the Deaf Church. We have sign language interpreters for all ages. We meet for connect group on Sundays at 9:30am and Worship at 11am. We also have midweek services on Wednesday at 6:00pm.
Our Military Ministry offers encouragement to service men and women who are associated with our church members. We pray for them and send letters to those serving here in the U.S. or deployed around the world. Several times a year we will collect items for Care Packages, and have displays in the Church lobby to remember and thank our soldiers and veterans.
